After reading The Shining, I have waited for months for the sequel to come out. I have imagined that the sequel would be good, but I never dreamed that it would be breathtaking! Stack up on coffee, since once you start reading, it will be nearly impossible to tear yourself away from this book until you have finished the whole thing. In this sequel we are once again following the story of Danny Torrance - the little boy with "the shining." Many years have passed and the little boy is now a grown man. He faced many difficulties along the road, and even battled alcoholism. He has a job at hospice named the Rivington House in a small town in New Hampshire. His coworkers call him Doctor Sleep, since he has a way of ushering the guests of this solemn place to the "other side."
