Secondary objectives are to demonstrate superiority of the SQ tree SLIT-tablet versus placebo on the use symptom-relieving medication in the birch pollen season (BPS) and tree pollen season (TPS), on immunological parameters (including Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and Immunoglobulin G, subtype 4 (IgG4)) to Betula verrucosa, major allergen 1 (Bet v1), on rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life, mild and severe days induced by birch pollen and by pollen from birch group, global evaluation and on a rhinoconjunctivitis visual analogue scale (VAS). Further the safety profile versus placebo will be evaluated.

Exploratory objectives include an investigation of the effect of the SQ tree SLIT-tablet versus placebo on levels of immunological parameters to relevant allergens from the homologous birch group, on asthma control in subjects with asthma, incidence of sick days caused by allergic symptoms induced by birch pollen and pollen from the birch group and on overall productivity.
